I’m an independent app developer from Melbourne, Australia, and I’ve recently released an update to my music app, Harken for iPad, iPhone and iPod which I’ve been building in my spare time since 2012.
Harken is an elegant and easy to use alternative to the standard Apple Music app for listening to the music that you’ve bought with the iTunes app on your iDevice or synched from your computer using iTunes – yes some of us still do that.
It has an extremely intuitive interface that makes it really easy to find music by album, artist or genre, numerous time saving gestures, and a handy search function to filter large music libraries. I originally designed it to be particularly easy to use in the car so I included a button which lets you prevent the display from sleeping.
