Bulgarian carrier advertises nonexistent black iPhone 6, and I want it

A reader just let us know that Bulgaria’s largest mobile operator Mobiltel (Mtel) announced today that the iPhone 6 will become available on its network starting Oct. 1. It also posted an image of what looks like a black version of the iPhone 6 alongside the usual gold and silver versions and in place of Apple’s space gray option.

It doesn’t actually exist, but now that I’ve seen it there’s no going back. I’d trade-in my space gray iPhone 6 for this immediately.

No word on how the company ended up with the wrong colour in its press materials and on its website. Update: In-store too (someone screwed up):

I, too, would prefer a black iPhone 6. I wanted a black iPhone 5s, but settled for “space gray”. Guess I’ll have to do that for the 6 as well.

meh. I like the contrast on the space grey. It was a nice novelty on the iPhone 5 but after a year of use it felt very tired.

  3. You can get the black version from Mtel, no problem. Just make sure you have $1,544 (off contract).

AND THE PRICE FROM MTEL FOR IPHONE 6 – WITHOUT CONTRACT – 2400 LEVA (1200 EURO!!!!!), WITH CONTRACT (50E PER MONTH) – 900EURO …. THIS IS INSANE!!!

This information was not correct. The site mentions the available colors are: Space Gray, Silver, Gold, so nothing new!

  6. Not only the image but also in the text it is written that there are 3 colors – white, black, gold

  7. This is no mistake they even say they have a black coloured version.
For the price of 1200 euro or 50 euro a month, they definatly need to give me something unique!
