Check out our top stories on iOS Devices:

iOS devices refer to any of Apple’s hardware that runs the iOS mobile operating system which include iPhones, iPads, and iPods. Historically, Apple releases a new iOS version once a year, the current version is iOS 10. Here is the complete list of iOS 10 compatible devices.

Netshare works on iPhone 4

Remember Netshare, that amazing application that provided unlimited tethering for a one time 10 buck fee? Well since being removed from the App Store after approximately a day and a half, people have been experimenting to see if the application will still work as Apple rolls out new devices. iPhone 4 with iOS 4 is out, and Macenstein put Netshare to the test.

As you can see by the screenshot, the in and out stats aren’t to bad and Macenstein says they’re even better than the results on previous iOS versions.

WebOS Netbooks coming soon from HP

WebOS keeps climbing up the corporate ladder at HP, it seems.  First it was (obviously) smartphones then HP alluded to killing the Microsoft Slate and building a webOS tablet.  Then webOS printers started becoming interesting.

Now, from the ‘HP buys Palm’ closing statement we learn that HP plans some (MacBook Air competing?) Netbooks with the WebOS running behind the scenes.  You ever get the feeling that HP might be a little sick of Microsoft after all of these years?

Palm will be responsible for webOS software development and webOS based hardware products, from a robust smartphone roadmap to future slate PCs and netbooks.

We’re waiting to hear next about webOS calculators and Blade servers in the coming months.

I can’t help but think of the opportunity lost by Apple not including a camera on the iPad.  Cisco unveiled its Enterprise Android Tablet, called Cius, today.  We’ll withhold judgement until we see one, but have a feeling that corporate IT is going to be pushing these down people’s throats rather than thinking outside of the box and buying iPads.

The usage case seems pretty interesting, but again, it is all about the execution.

App Store will no longer support iOS 2.X apps

Today, Apple announced on their iOS Developer blog that apps targeting to iOS 2.x will no longer be supported. This is no surprise as we are already at iOS 4. Developers are encouraged to re-build their apps in Xcode and set the target to iOS 3.x or later so they will not run into submission or app removal issues.

Apple also recommends that developers review the iOS 4 Readiness Checklist in order to take full advantage of the bevy of new technologies and API’s available in the latest iOS release.

iOS 4 is now available as a free update for iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, and the 2nd and 3rd generation iPod touch. iOS 4 only runs to its full potential, with multitasking, on iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and the 3rd generation iPod touch.
