Google Keep update adds searchable auto-created topics to iOS & web app

Google is rolling out an update to its Keep note-taking app that brings new auto-created topics that group notes together for automatic organization and easy searching. 

Google notes that the feature will “automagically” create topics for things like places, books, travel, food and quotes. And you can use the new auto-create topics to search for all notes that might apply within the automatically created categories.

When you hit the search bar, you’ll now find quick shortcuts to the new topics located next to other search filters for things like file type, people and colors. Once drilling into a topic, you can then use the search bar to search only within the notes located in that topic.

The update is rolling out today to Google Keep users mobile– the iOS app included–and the web app starting today.
