Olloclip iPhone 7

The new cameras on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are highly impressive on their own, and Olloclip has three new interchangeable lens kits that let you take a variety of different shots not otherwise possible. All three new camera accessories work with both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, and Olloclip has updated its Ollo Case to fit both new iPhones as well.

First up is the Macro Pro Lens Set pictured above, which is available for pre-order at $79.99 and ships mid-November. Macro Pro Lens Set lets you shoot at Macro 7x, Marco 14x, and Macro 21x for super close-up shots not otherwise possible on an iPhone. The included InstaFocus hood helps you “naturally collect and diffuse light and facilitate instant focusing.”

Olloclip says when combined with iPhone 7’s digital zoom, the new 21x macro lens can capture up to almost 100x zoom in total. The new Macro Pro Lens Set is targeted toward industrial, medical, and professional photographers, and the comparison between 1x and 21x below makes me want to try it as a hobbyist.

Next up is the new Core Lens Set which is available for pre-order at $99.99 and ships mid-November. Core Lens Set brings Fisheye (one of my favorites) to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. There’s also Macro 15x and Super-Wide for close up shots and wide-angle shots that aren’t as dramatic as fish eye.

Finally, there’s the new Active Lens Set available for pre-order at $119.99 and shipping in mid-November. Active Lens Set is a premium kit that enables Telephoto 2x and Ultra-Wide shots on either new iPhone. The telephoto 2x feature delivers optical zoom on the iPhone 7 for photographers that don’t want to tote the larger iPhone 7 Plus, and the ultra-wide lens captures GoPro-like stills and videos using a 155º field-of-view.

As an iPhone 7 Plus user, both Macro Pro and Core are appealing for enabling new shots with the upgraded cameras. None of the new clips appear to take advantage of the new dual camera system on the iPhone 7 Plus however.

Olloclip offers a $29.99 clear case that works with all three new lens kits on iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Everything announced today will be shipping in mid-November. Olloclip also sells a variety of lens kits for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus or earlier.
