Maya Rudolph’s ‘Loot’ is back for season 3 on Apple TV

One of Apple TV’s top-rated comedies returns today with a two-episode premiere, kicking off a season that will bring back familiar faces for Severance and The Good Place fans alike.

The first two episodes are now available

Loot premiered in 2022, telling the story of Molly Novak, played by Maya Rudolph, who becomes a billionaire after divorcing her husband, tech mogul John Novak (played by Severance’s Adam Scott), when she discovers he’s been cheating on her.

Following a good first season, the show gained traction last year with season 2. Now it’s back for season 3, featuring several potentially hilarious cameos, including D’Arcy Carden, best known for playing Janet on The Good Place, where Rudolph and Scott also appeared.

If you don’t mind some light spoilers, here’s what Apple says is in store for season 3:

“Molly has landed the jet for season three, with viewers left on the edge of their seats following the season two finale that saw Wells and her trusted and somewhat assistant Nicholas (Joel Kim Booster) board Molly’s private jet with her orders to take her as far away as possible after blowback from her fellow billionaires about stepping up philanthropy and her awkward exchange with her will-they, won’t-they colleague Arthur (Nat Faxon). The upcoming season will also continue to follow the antics of the beloved group of misfits at the Wells Foundation as they work together so Molly can live up to her promise of giving away all of her vast fortune. Alongside Rudolph, the returning ensemble cast includes Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Nat Faxon, Ron Funches and Joel Kim Booster.
