If you’re looking for a show to binge over the holidays, Hijack is one of my top Apple TV recommendations.

The series premiered in 2023 with a thrilling, real-time format where the action on-screen unfolds at the same pace as time in the real world.

Hijack’s first full season is available here, and it’s a perfect time to watch because season 2 hits Apple TV early next year.

Ahead of the January 14 return of Hijack, Apple has published a new video showing star Idris Elba “reviewing” various reviews of the first season.

Here’s the video:

If you’re looking for more thrillers on Apple TV, The Last Frontier is currently airing and features a U.S. Marshall tasked with tracking down violent inmates who just crash-landed in his jurisdiction.

Another highlight is Down Cemetery Road. It stars Emma Thompson as a detective and is based on the novel by Mick Herron, the same author who penned the Slow Horses book series.

Do you plan to watch Hijack, or have you seen it already? What’s your review? Let us know in the comments.

Apple TV is only $5.99 per month for a limited time and features hit TV shows and movies like Ted LassoSeverancePluribus, and more. You can also get it through the Apple One bundle.
