January often brings fresh goals, with health and fitness at the forefront for many. Apple Fitness+ just launched new programs designed to help build exercise habits, and there are several ways you can access Fitness+ entirely free.
Fitness+ offers video workouts on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV for all experience levels

Apple Fitness+ is a subscription service designed that provides guided video workouts on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. There are special features for Apple Watch and AirPods Pro 3 users, but you don’t need to own either of those products to use Fitness+.
Fitness+ workouts can be followed at home or the gym, and are tailored for users of all experience levels. You’ll find workouts that take as little as 5 minutes all the way up to 45 minutes, and everywhere in between.
All kinds of workout types are supported, including:
- Strength
- Core
- Meditation
- HIIT
- Yoga
- Pilates
- Treadmill
- Cycling
- Rowing, and more
I’ve used Fitness+ off and on for years and find it a hidden gem in Apple’s service catalog. The excellent set of trainers, high production values, and thoughtful execution in every video makes it a great option for a fitness routine.
How to get Apple Fitness+ for free

Apple Fitness+ costs $9.99/month, but there are several ways you can get it free.
- Anytime Fitness members get access to Fitness+ at no extra cost
- Wellhub users with a Basic plan or higher get Fitness+ access for free
- New Fitness+ subscribers get three months free with the purchase of a new Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, AirPods Pro 3, or Powerbeats Pro 2
- If someone in your Family Sharing group subscribes to Fitness+, you will gain access for free (up to 6 total users per subscription)
If none of the above options work out, the best way to get Fitness+ access might be the Apple One bundle.
Apple One comes in a few different tiers, but the Premier plan includes Apple TV, Apple Music, iCloud+ with 2TB of storage, Apple News+, Apple Arcade, and Apple Fitness+.
If you’re already paying for several of these services separately, signing up for Apple One could provide access to additional services like Fitness+ at no additional cost.
