Apple TV scores 9 Writers Guild Awards nominations, Pluribus leads with 4

Apple picked up nine nominations across drama, comedy, and children’s categories, with Pluribus leading the pack as its most-nominated series. See the nominees below.

Pluribus keeps raking in nominations

Today, Apple TV received a total of nine nominations for the WGA Awards, including Drama Series for Pluribus, where it will be up against The White Lotus, Andor, The Pitt, and Apple TV’s own Severance.

The Studio got a nod in the Comedy Series category, going up against Abbott Elementary, The Chair Company, Hacks, and The Rehearsal.

In the New Series category, Pluribus and The Studio also picked up nominations, going up against The Chair Company, The Pitt, and Task.

Pluribus also got nominated twice in the Episodic Drama category with episodes “Got Milk” and “Charm Offensive,” while The Pitt was nominated with “7:00 A.M.”, Task was nominated with “A Still Small Voice,” The Handmaid’s Tale for “Execution,” and Forever for “Reunion”.

Meanwhile, in the Episodic Comedy category, The Studio’s “The Promotion” episode will be up against Mo with “A Call from God,” The Rehearsal with “Pilot’s Code,” The Righteous Gemstones with “Prelude,” Poker Face with “The Sleazy Georgian,” and The Bear with “Worms.”

Finally, Apple TV’s The First Snow of Fraggle Rock got a nod in the Children’s Episodic, Long Form and Specials category, going up against Goosebumps’ “Stay Out of the Basement: Part 1,” Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ “I Play Dodgeball with Cannibals,” and Tab Time’s “When We Lose Someone”.

The WGA’s ceremony will take place on March 8, in simultaneous ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York.
