my iPhone 12 Mini is on 18.7.1 and the only update it's offering me is to 26.4. is there any trick to getting this 18.7.7 update to appear? I'd really rather not go to 26 right now.
Per Aaron Perris on X, Apple has also released the following pre-OS 26 updates:
- iOS 18.7.7
- iPadOS 18.7.7
- macOS 15.7.5
- macOS 14.8.5
- watchOS 8.8.2
- watchOS 5.3.10
So if you’re running iOS or iPadOS 18, macOS Sonoma or Sequoia, or watchOS 8 or 5, these updates will offer the latest enhancements on your devices.
Apple’s release notes say these new updates focus on security updates. So to ensure your device is protected against the most recently discovered vulnerabilities, be sure to install the latest software.
Are you still running any of these older software versions? When do you plan to update to OS 26? Let us know in the comments.
