Apple Watch Series 12 to bring back beloved design material, says leaker

Apple Watch Series 12 will be unveiled next month, and a reputable leaker just said it will come with a ceramic design option.

Ceramic case option reportedly coming with Apple Watch Series 12

We’re just a few weeks away from Apple’s big September event, where 10+ new products could launch.

Among them is Apple Watch Series 12, the latest Watch model.

And per leaker Kosutami in a new post on X, Series 12 will see Apple’s beloved ceramic case option return.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard that Apple might bring back ceramic this year.

Earlier this month, Mark Gurman at Bloomberg reported that ceramic was being planned for either this year or next. Assuming Kosutami’s post proves accurate, it sounds like we’ll see the ceramic model sooner rather than later.

The last time a ceramic Apple Watch was available was the Series 5 ‘Edition’ model. It became a favorite for many users, who have long wished for its return.

It’s unclear how much of a premium price ceramic might command with Apple Watch Series 12. Though the ‘Edition’ line has been discontinued, we’ll still likely see higher pricing.
