New all-glass iPhone 20 Pro rumor reveals another design change

Apple’s major 20th-anniversary iPhone refresh is in the works for next year. A new rumor today reiterates expectations that the iPhone 20 Pro and iPhone 20 Pro Max will have even bigger screens than the current models.

The rumor comes from Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station, who has a track record of sharing accurate iPhone leaks. Here are the screen sizes of next year’s iPhone 20 Pro models, according to the latest leak:

iPhone 20 Pro: 6.41 inches
iPhone 20 Pro Max: 6.96 inches

For comparison, the iPhone 18 Pro features a 6.27-inch display measured diagonally, which Apple markets as 6.3 inches. The iPhone 18 Pro Max has a 6.86-inch display, which Apple rounds to 6.9 inches in its marketing materials.

This means the iPhone 20 Pro and iPhone 20 Pro Max could have the biggest iPhone screens ever — save, of course, for the 7.6-inch inner display on the looming iPhone Duo.

Today’s rumor adds that Apple is testing a “borderless quad-curved design” with a hole-punch display design, featuring a smaller Dynamic Island. The design is widely expected to be made primarily from glass.

In August, Bloomberg reported that this 20th-anniversary iPhone is still on track for next year. Mark Gurman described the design as using glass on the front and the back, and that the material “will curve into the sides of the devices, with a metal band in the middle.”
