Today Apple TV unveiled the trailer for Nocturne, a new thriller series based on bestselling crime novel “The Sandman” by Lars Kepler.

Apple TV has a variety of exciting crime thrillers in its library, and this fall it plans to add even more.
One of those series—Nocturne—is based on the bestselling novel “The Sandman” by Lars Kepler.
Nocturne premieres Friday, October 30 with two episodes, followed by weekly releases through December 25.
The show revolves around a serial killer and stars Liev Schreiber and Zazie Beetz, with Stephen Graham (“Adolescence”) as the killer.
Apple just released the trailer, offering our first proper preview of the chilling new show. Here’s the official summary for Nocturne, followed by the trailer.
“Nocturne” tells the story of Jonah Lynn (Schreiber), an ex-soldier turned homicide detective who, tired of working the tough streets of Philadelphia, moves to a small town in Western Pennsylvania for a quiet life. But, as the town and his family come under attack from the diabolically cunning serial killer Jurek Walter (Graham), Jonah must protect all that he holds dear. When the desperate search for Jurek’s last missing victim forces Jonah to send his surrogate daughter FBI Agent Saga Bauer (Beetz), up against Jurek, how far will Jonah go?
Two weeks before Nocturne, ‘12 12 12’ premieres on Apple TV as another crime thriller. It stars Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan and centers around a heist, covering the 12 months of planning, 12 hours of the heist itself, and 12 days following it.
Looking beyond the fall, Apple plans to kick off 2027 with the high-profile thriller The Wanted Man, which stars Hugh Laurie as an organized crime boss.
