A small number of iPhone 18 Pro users are reporting an issue where the speaker sometimes “pops” or “clicks,” describing it as a faint sound when doing things like switching apps …

My 18 Pro Max does this since day one.
I visited the Apple Store, where staff performed a diagnosis and attached a device to my phone to monitor the speaker. The helpful employee explained she could not detect the issue ( also in my videos) and noted I would be the first customer with this problem. I mentioned I would wait for updates and return if it persists; she agreed and suggested the next step would be resetting the device via Mac at the Apple Store.
MacRumors spotted reports in its forums and on Reddit. There are enough of them to indicate that it is a real issue, but few enough to suggest that it’s not widespread.
I have noticed that I would hear a popping noise coming from my upper or lower speaker, almost as if someone is pulling out a aux cord and you hear a brief click pop noise. I feel like it has happened a couple times during app switching and playing around with volume and possibly voice dictation.
Reports of the variables involved don’t point to a consistent pattern, and some are suggesting it may be software rather than hardware related. I haven’t encountered it on my device.
