Here’s how iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro Max compare in size
If you want the largest possible iPhone screen, iPhone Duo’s folding display delivers that.
But how much larger is it than iPhone 18 Pro Max? And how do the two compare in different setups?
A video posted on Instagram by @thetechchap offers a great side-by-side look at each new model.
As you can see, when unfolded the iPhone Duo’s width is nearly identical to iPhone 18 Pro Max’s longest side. Here are the numbers per Apple’s technical specs:

Apple designates height and width based on standard expected use patterns. But both iPhones can be used in any orientation, so it might be more helpful to compare height against width, and vice versa.
For example, iPhone 18 Pro Max’s 6.43-inch height compares to the 6.48-inch width of iPhone Duo. So in a certain orientation, as seen in the video, their length is nearly identical.
But of course, the Duo has the edge of its 4.64-inch height that’s much more spacious than iPhone 18 Pro Max’s 3.07-inch “width.” And it can be folded, making it more compact for carrying on the go and for one-handed use.
