Some iPhone Duo orders getting moved up to earlier dates

iPhone Duo became available for pre-order last Friday, then quickly became backordered into late January 2027. However, a number of users have started reporting that their orders now show earlier delivery dates than originally estimated.

Users report iPhone Duo pre-orders now set to arrive earlier, particularly in Japan

It is unclear whether this change is going to start rolling out more broadly around the world. Though some orders arriving sooner than expected wouldn’t be surprising.

Apple has yet to comment on the updated shipping dates. It’s possible the improved delivery estimates end up being errors that get reverted, but hopefully that’s not the case.

So far the new dates appear limited to orders directly from Apple. We’ll keep you posted on any new developments to the story.
