Apple Music unveils new design rebrand, with logo ‘made by sound’

Apple Music has officially launched its rebrand with a new design, logo, and more. And in a video detailing the rebrand, Apple reveals the new look was actually “made by sound.”

We’ve seen signs for weeks that Apple Music had a big rebrand coming, including a fresh app icon and other design updates in iOS 27.2.

Now Apple has officially unveiled its new look and shared that it was “made by sound.”

From the official Apple Music account on X:

Like it did when Apple TV rebranded, Apple has published a behind-the-scenes video explaining that the new logo was created practically. And in a fitting move for Apple’s music streaming service, the new Apple Music look was “made by sound.” Apple says:

A story of music, collaboration and craft with Fred again.. and NEST Acoustics. Discover how sound brought the Apple Music logo to life, captured entirely in camera. Just music, made visible.

Like the AppleTV intro, the effect here is very cool. However I still hate the new iconography, maybe it'll grow on me..
