Apple TV has just announced that it has a new most-watched film ever: the box office hit F1: The Movie has proven successful in streaming, too.
F1 is now the most watched film in Apple TV history
It seemed inevitable, but Apple has just made it official.
F1: The Movie is now the most watched film in Apple TV history.
If you haven’t seen it yet, you can watch F1 here with an Apple TV subscription.
After becoming Apple’s most successful theatrical film of all time, it was assumed that F1 would similarly be a hit in streaming. The film’s Apple TV premiere was December 12, following releases on digital and Blu-ray and 4K UHD.
It’s unclear how recently F1 eclipsed all other Apple TV films, but Apple revealed the movie’s latest accomplishment via a post on X today.
The video says, “The most watched film in Apple TV history.”
Some of Apple’s other biggest movie titles include sci-fi action hit The Gorge starring Anya Taylor-Joy, and Wolfs with George Clooney and Brad Pitt.
F1 was recently nominated for four Academy Awards, including the prestigious Best Picture. Though it’s not expected to win the top prize, the nomination itself is a notable achievement for Apple. Crafting a crowd-pleasing film that resonates with audiences and critics alike is not an easy feat.
Apple TV is available for $12.99 per month, or you can get it discounted through the Apple One bundle.
