But in many cases, even devices running older OS versions have received new software releases.

  • iPadOS 18.7.7
  • macOS 15.7.5
  • macOS 14.8.5

So if you’re running iOS or iPadOS 18, macOS Sonoma or Sequoia, or watchOS 8 or 5, these updates will offer the latest enhancements on your devices.

Apple’s release notes say these new updates focus on security updates. So to ensure your device is protected against the most recently discovered vulnerabilities, be sure to install the latest software.
