Star City is a new space-race thriller series coming to Apple TV next month, and the full trailer has just dropped.
Star City premieres May 29, the same day For All Mankind airs season finale

If you’re into space-related content, it’s certainly been an exciting few weeks.
NASA’s Artemis II mission recently concluded and keeps providing stunning videos and photos. And Apple’s acclaimed alt-history space-race show For All Mankind is currently airing season 5 (watch here).
For All Mankind’s season finale airs next month, and on that same day, a new spinoff series arrives.
Star City is a new space-race thriller set in the same world and alt-history timeline as For All Mankind, but it shows the Soviet side of the story. It premieres Friday, May 29 with its first two episodes.
Rhys Ifans (House of the Dragon, Elementary) stars, and the show looks set to adopt a more fast-paced tone than its inspiration, which has a slower drama feel. Apple calls the new series a “propulsive paranoid thriller.”
The newly released trailer confirms that shift. You can watch it below.
One great thing about Star City is that it won’t require seeing For All Mankind first. It’s understandably a big commitment to sign up for five seasons of anything. But Star City should make a great entry point that may or may not lead viewers to check out its inspiration too.

Apple TV is available for $12.99 per month, or you can get it discounted through the Apple One bundle.
