Apple Watch now available with discounted education pricing in select markets

Apple is rolling out a big change to the Education Store today. For the first time, the Apple Watch is now available with a discount for students and teachers in select markets.

Apple is also expanding verification requirements to use the Education Store to new markets …

Starting today, Apple Watch can be purchased with a discount via the Education Store in the following countries:

  • Australia
  • China (via AliPay)
  • Hong Kong
  • Japan
  • Malaysia
  • Singapore
  • South Korea
  • Taiwan
  • Thailand
  • Vietnam

Additionally, Apple is now requiring verification through the Education Store in Hong Kong and Australia. Previously, Apple required verification in all the aforementioned markets, but not in Hong Kong or Australia. Apple is collaborating with UNiDAYS for verification.

With this change, you’ll need to provide verification you are eligible before making a purchase from Apple’s Education Store.

In Australia, for example, the Apple Watch Series 11 starts at A$609 via the Education Store, compared to its usual price of A$679. Apple Watch SE 3 starts at A$369 (down from A$399). Apple Watch Ultra starts at A$1,259, down from $A$1,399.

Apple Watch isn’t available via the Education Store in other markets.

If you live in one of the aforementioned markets, you can head to Apple’s Education Store to check out the Apple Watch discounts.
