OpenAI has confirmed that users are encountering errors when trying to log in to their accounts or create new ones. Here are the details.

ChatGPT also currently down for some users

According to OpenAI’s system status page, all ChatGPT “signups and logins are down as of right now.”

Time is in BRT

The company confirmed the issue at 8:03 p.m. ET, and says it is “working on implementing a mitigation.”

Reports of an OpenAI outage have also shot up on Downdetector, while users on X report being unable to use the chatbot even when they’re logged in.

In our tests, ChatGPT’s Mac app works, but the web-based version occasionally fails to load the chat history, account projects, or generate responses.

We will monitor the situation and report back once OpenAI shares more details or marks the issue as resolved.
