Apple has updated the watch bands page on its website to provide an easier selection process for potential buyers. The page now lists each individual band under its own section with a brief description and price. Shoppers will then be able to select an appropriately-sized band for their watch.
Previously the site looked like any other collection on the store with a grid view that featured little more than a photo. The new design gives users a closer look at the clasp of the band without the watch hardware present.

For watch bands that are available in multiple colors, like the Sport, Leather Loop, and Modern Buckle, users can use a color selector below the image to change the design. In the old design, color selection was only possible from the individual item pages after selecting a style.
Unfortunately changing the color on the new page doesn’t transfer the selection over the store, so even after comparing the styles on the first page, you’ll need to select the color again on the next one.
The Apple Watch launched worldwide today in a handful of small stores.

There are no bands made of aluminium Kevin. Perhaps you mean the watch case itself, yes?
And no, I’m not comparing the engineering parts, am I? Just like you aren’t mentioning the watch internals, all I’m referring to is the chassis. Just the bones Kevin. Just the plain dumb old bones which make up Astons and top-end Jaguars, and many Lamborghinis, etc etc.
The rather substantial and devastating point I was making Kevin, is that aluminium is not devalued simply because one can make beer cans out of it. One can make some rather amazing aircraft from aluminium too, my friend.

There are two things I want from Apple before I’ll treat them with any legitimacy as a watchmaker.
1) Ability to purchase additional links for the link bracelet. Walk into any jewellery store, order any link band for any stupid $50 or $50,000 watch and you can obtain additional links without having to buy an entire additional bracelet.
2) Just like there’s a longer perforated side for the elastomer band, so too there should be a longer pin-side available as an accessory. Call it the XL Sport Band addon. Minimally it should be available in white and black.
Fit is understood as a requirement for personal items. Wrists do not carry fat. This is a matter of fitting skeletons and there’s NO excuse for not doing it. Both of these things would not cost much to provide, and would prevent Apple from having to turning anyone away. That alone makes it worth doing, as a company which prides itself on embracing all people.
I’ve found my fit, but I’ve had to settle. Offering the above caters to the entry market and the top-end market alike. It’s a good approach.
Also, I’d very much like to see a white leather loop. I’m disappointed there isn’t one. I wouldn’t mind so much if I could put a white sport band around my yeti wrist… but the leather loops fit with room to spare.
I wish I could edit, but just FYI, my bloody mother has a 200mm wrist. I’m not joking. Blokes like Wladimir Klichkow and I should be able to enjoy the pleasure of crush-touching our Apple Watches just like the rest of you :P

Exactly, the sheer fact that iSheep will flock to this outrageous ripoff and give billionaires their hard-earned money for a simple ALUMINUM (one of the most populous metal on earth) watchband is truly astounding. Defending this pricing is why the 1% control the clueless 99%.
I think it’s hilarious when people complain about things they aren’t going to purchase. Walk away from the computer, go out and get some sunshine. Hopefully your attitudes will improve.
Question: Has there been any word on larger bands? I’m going in for a fitting just to be sure, but I don’t think the current bands support “Hill Giants” as a user. Max size I see on the chart is 215mm wrists; mine measures 228mm.
