You can use Siri to open start playing a podcast on the Apple watch.

Clear all notifications is a common use case? You can’t even clear all on the iPhone. And then later you talk about how normal people don’t even clear them at all. What is something that someone would need to use force touch to do that is part of the core experience of the watch as a phone companion?

I think you could use the watch and never force touch. It wouldn’t be great and you wouldn’t even be able to change watch faces, but then I’ve know people who didn’t know how to rearrange app icons in iOS. There are plenty of interactions on in iOS that are not immediately obvious but are shortcuts to things or power user features. My dad would never have discovered cut copy and paste, but I think many people think of that as an essential feature.

I don’t agree that you could use the Watch and never Force Touch. You can debate about specific cases but in general Force Touch is needed to access key features, whether that be replying to a text message or even changing the current watch face.

Damnit. I was doing some early morning surfing on my iPhone and when I scrolled by the article with the embedded podcast I must have touched it and it started playing at full volume. Sure is convenient as an alarm to wake everyone else up. Wish the link had a smaller footprint on the mobile page so I would be less likely to touch it while scrolling.
I will listen to it later, I do enjoy the content. Thanks for letting me rant. Good morning.

Love the podcast fellas, keep up the great work. I have a questions, hopefully one of you can answer. Is there any info on how far away you can be from your phone for the watch to remain connected.?

Bluetooth range is about 33 feet, WiFi range depends but can of course be much further.

Guys! I need help! I received my 42 SS BSB yesterday afternoon and everything seemed to sync and work as it should… I find out now that my sms text messages (no matter how many times I try to send them) won’t go through! My calls and iMessages work perfectly! Do you happen to know anything on this or if there is something I’m missing?! Thanks!

How about normalising the sound across all of the people speaking – some are much louder than others and it’s tiring turning the volume up and down!
