MagSafe charging docks are great for desks or nightstands, but sometimes a simple cable or pad is all you want to travel with. The new Anker Zolo Wireless Charger takes that idea and gives it a boost with Qi2 support for 15W fast charging. It’s compact, affordable, and built for people who want MagSafe charging for low cost.

The web browser is one of the most important apps on any Mac, especially in the enterprise. For most employees, it is where a lot of their work happens: Jira, SDFC, email, and other SaaS tools. For IT, that makes the browser both a productivity enabler and one of the biggest security surfaces to manage. Getting identity and access right inside the browser is now just as critical as securing the device itself. That is why Chrome’s new support for Apple’s Extensible Single Sign On framework is such a big deal heading into Q4. It gives IT a native, secure way to deliver seamless authentication for Chrome users on the Mac without adding much friction or complexity.
Presence/motion sensors are one of the best ways to make automations feel more natural, but most of them run on batteries and eventually have to be swapped. That’s one of the main reasons I really like the Meross MS600 Smart Presence Sensor. It plugs into the wall, so you don’t have to worry about battery swaps. It combines millimeter wave radar, motion detection, and a built-in light sensor to detect it all.
Agentic AI is a term that every IT team should become familiar with, as it will impact every aspect of their work. As SaaS apps continue to dominate, the browser has become more than just a window to the web. A new generation of browsers is emerging that brings the agentic AI era directly into how people work every day.
Agentic browsers can summarize information, reason over data, and even take action on a user’s behalf. OpenAI recently launched ChatGPT Atlas, and Mosyle, a popular vendor in the Apple IT space, is helping teams prepare for the future of agentic AI by adding its app to its app catalog.

In this episode of Apple @ Work, Chris Ullrich from Cognixion joins the show to talk about how the company is using Apple Vision Pro in a new clinical study to help people with conditions like ALS, spinal cord injuries, and stroke-related impairments communicate through a combination of brain signals, eye tracking, and AI.
Our family decided to have a dedicated charging station for all of our devices, and that quickly turned into a mess of wires. We wanted something powerful enough for everything but compact enough that it didn’t turn our counter into cable chaos. The Baseus Nomos 8-in-1 Magnetic Charging Station hit that sweet spot for us. It has a built-in Qi2-certified 15W wireless charging pad and a 67W USB-C port, covering the range from iPhone to laptop and everything in between.

It began in 2020, and since then, Apple has steadily gone from the computer employees begging IT to support to a platform CIOs now consider as mission-critical. A new CIO survey shows Apple makes up 63% of endpoints in the enterprise today. 95% of IT leaders plan to grow their Mac purchases over the next two years. 73% are already running AI workloads on Apple devices. Apple Silicon, combined with end-to-end hardware and software, and strong price-to-performance, has led to an incredible run for Apple in the enterprise.
Small room fans are one of the easiest ways to keep air moving and a space comfortable. I personally love to sleep with a fan blowing on me. What makes the SwitchBot Smart Desk Fan even better is that it supports Matter, so you can easily use it within your HomeKit environment. That means you can automate it based on the room temperature, so instead of running all the time, it only comes on when needed and shuts off when it’s not.
Kandji has been a popular choice for Apple devices management for IT teams, and now it is entering a new chapter. The company has rebranded as Iru, an AI powered IT and security platform built for the modern workforce. With this rebrand, Iru moves beyond just having Apple management focus and into a broader IT vision that unifies identity, endpoint security, and compliance automation into one platform.

Wireless charging has come a long way since the early days, when it felt like only something you’d use at night. The introduction of MagSafe with the iPhone 12 was a huge win for the standard, and now the industry is unifying around Qi2. The newest enhancement, Qi2.2, takes things up a notch with support for 25-watt charging speeds and better heat management. LISEN recently launched its new LISEN Qi2.2 MagSafe Car Charger, and I’ve been using it as my primary car charger for the past few weeks.

Apple has long given IT admins the ability to delay software updates across fleets as it has built out the modern device management stack. The idea made sense at the time because it gave IT teams time to test, validate, and make sure nothing broke before updates hit thousands of devices.
The world has changed though. Security risks move faster, attacks are smarter, and the 90 day window Apple still offers feels outdated. As Apple has made the yearly updates more reliable in terms of not breaking things, I think it is time for Apple to rethink the balance and cut that maximum delay down to 30 days.
Previously, I wrote about the SwitchBot K11+, a smaller robot vacuum that was a great option for smaller spaces. This week, I am looking at the new SwitchBot S20, and this one is built for much bigger homes. After using it for the past few months, I believe it may be the best robo vacuum on the market, with some nice workarounds for rooms in Apple’s Home app.

When it comes to using MagSafe in the car, I want something that keeps my iPhone charged. My wife, on the other hand, does not. She just wants the dock portion. If you don’t need or want charging while you drive, a magnetic mount is one of the best accessories you can add. The Lamicall MagSafe Car Mount skips the charging options and focuses on being the best way to keep an eye on Apple Maps when you don’t have CarPlay. With 20 upgraded magnets and a reinforced vent clip, your iPhone stays locked in place even on rough roads.

Apple has built a world for IT where zero-touch deployments are the defacto default. Most devices arrive sealed, are unboxed by the end user, and are configured automatically through device management services. For many IT teams, that is the dream scenario they have always wanted. In education and retail, there are still plenty of times when a hands-on macOS app for deployment can be just as valuable. That is where Apple Configurator for macOS continues to matter.
Earlier this year, iOS 18.4 brought support for Matter’s implementation of robot vacuums into HomeKit. I’ve been testing a few various models over the past few months, and SwitchBot has done a fantastic job. I’ve been using the SwitchBot K11+ for the past three months, and I am excited to talk about it this week.

I am so happy for the arrival of the AirPods Pro 3. I had been hanging on to my original Pro 2 models from 2022, and they had seen better days. In fact, I think AirPods are one of the best products Apple has ever shipped. Because I take them everywhere, I love having a case that makes them easier to carry and keeps them protected. The ESR Orbit Hybrid Case for AirPods Pro 3 is designed with MagSafe in mind while adding durability, a strong lid, and a few nice extras. If you are looking for a great AirPods Pro 3 case, keep reading to learn more about why I like this one a lot.

Apple Intelligence has been largely underwhelming to most people thus far. That said, I believe that a killer use case has arrived, and we’re vastly underestimating its long-term impact. That feature is Live Translation. It is easy to dismiss it as a travel gimmick, but I think it could become one of the most important business tools Apple has ever shipped. When AirPods can handle real-time translation with nothing more than an iPhone in your pocket, the way global teams collaborate starts to look very different.
Around my city, Halloween almost brings out as many “all in” people as Christmas when it comes to decorations. In fact, one house near me starts setting up in August and then keeps it going through Christmas, just dressing the Halloween-themed skeletons in Santa hats to carry them into the next holiday. If you’re still turning on all of your Halloween decorations manually, it’s time to automate that using HomeKit.

MagSafe batteries are one of my favorite types of accessories because they let you keep your iPhone charged without needing to find a wall adapter (verbal meme: zombies, but it’s tech people looking for a wall plug) The new CP12 MagSafe Power Bank has a 10,000mAh battery, offers 20W wired charging, 7.5W MagSafe charging, and even includes a built in cable for when you want to charge a bit faster. It is not the slimmest battery, but it gives you plenty of flexibility for travel, commuting, or just making sure your iPhone lasts all day.

Apple’s footprint in the enterprise has steadily expanded, but healthcare is where the impact can feel the most personal. At Emory Healthcare, Apple devices are now the foundation of care delivery. Emory Hillandale is the nation’s first hospital fully powered by Apple products, with Macs, iPads, iPhones, and Apple Watches deployed throughout the hospital to run Epic Hyperspace and support patient care. One of the most important aspects of this rollout is that Epic is now a native macOS app.
