Are Apple’s MFi game controllers still too expensive?

After complaints about the $99 price point that most manufacturers announced for the new Apple authorized MFi game controllers, many are dropping prices as low as $70. Logitech and SteelSeries have both slashed prices, but are they still too expensive?
