I love anti-reflective displays, but an iPhone one is no big deal

I love anti-reflective displays, but don't much care about an iPhone one | Abstract image of a mirror

A report yesterday suggested that the two iPhone 17 Pro models could get an anti-reflective display, after Apple’s suppliers managed to overcome production difficulties.

I do love anti-reflective displays, and still have very fond memories of my all-time favorite Apple one from way back in 2004, but an iPhone one would have only moderate appeal to me …

iPhone 17: Titanium is coming to just one model, and it’s a surprising choice

First iPhone 15 Pro ad highlights new titanium finish

Two years ago, Apple launched the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max with a big emphasis on a new, titanium design. Titanium remained a differentiator for iPhone 16 Pro, too. But reporting indicates the company will ship only one iPhone 17 model with a titanium design this year, and it’s a surprising choice.

iPhone 17 Air is stunningly thin compared to iPhone 16 Pro in latest leak

The latest iPhone 17 preview comes from Sam Kohl’s AppleTrack YouTube channel. In the video, Sam compares physical models meant to recreate the rumored iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max designs. At this rate, I’ll be disappointed if we don’t have working models running a recreation of iOS 19 by the first half of May.

If Apple’s going to make a barely blue product, it should be an Apple Watch

If Apple's going to make a barely blue product, it should be an Apple Watch | A watch face whose blue color is constantly changing

I know, I’m writing about the Apple Watch and a subtle shade of blue while illustrating the piece with a dumb watch with very unsubtle blue face, but bear with me here.

A report yesterday suggested that the iPhone 17 Pro is going to be available in the Sky Blue, the name Apple gave to the subtle blue tint of one of the M4 MacBook Air options …
