World of Apple and My Apple Guide are both calling March 24th as the day we'll finally see some new hardware from Apple.  Rather than discuss the track records of these sites, let's just hope shall we?  Oh, and we've been hearing roughly the same time frame without specific dates.  It is about, um, time.

Finally...now i have an excuse to get a mac for college...

At college, it's all about the portables and free iPod touches. Wait until summer. Though I have a mac pro (in debt, school loans) for editing.

BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!

from the title, it would seem more to do with itune rentals, and appleTV. no new hardware.

I don't think that is the real invite bud.

+1

That's just a mock up.

I predict TVs! Apple Television with AppleTV built in!

Monitor made by LG

New iPhone to be revealed .... ?
To be shipped in July...?

8 core MacMini with BluRaydrive and one TB of storage in new black aluminium case! :-) finally!!

None of this really affects me, as I only purchase refurbished hardware. It's fast enough for me and is available at a significant discount. This will, however, help push current models into lower price points on the refurb site.

tities!

best post yet =) would be better if you spelled TITTIES correctly ;)

Hope they will lower the price for the aluminum macbook 13.3 inch
If they lower i will get one right the way

Makes sense. I remember I bought my mac pro near the end of August-first of september in 2007 (after a hardware refresh) as I could not bare the wait for Leopard. 2.5 - 3 months later Leopard dropped.

I think the same thing is going to happen here too. New hardware in March, give the hardware 3 - 4 months out in the wild, then release Snow Leopard around June or July.

Here are the rumors I've heard

- New Mac Mini - same as old Mac Mini, but with 4 cores at 2.8 GHz.
- New iMac - 4 cores, up to 32 inch display.
- New Mac Mini tower - like a Mac Pro, but smaller and under $1000.
- New Mac Pro - 16 cores, 128 GB RAM max, same price.
- NETBOOK! $249, 9-inch screen, flash card reader
- All Macs finally get a Verizon 3G wireless interface option.
- iPhone plans: $99/month with UNLIMITED talk.
- iPhone gets MMS Video messaging, with dual cameras (front/back)
- iPhone camera goes to 10 MP, with flash and 5x optical zoom.
- iPhone to support Verizon, TMobile, Sprint.
- iPhone to get Adobe's (optimized) Flash.
- iPod Touch reduced to $150.
- iPod Touch has HDD 200 GB version for $300.
- iPhone has 64 GB option.
- All Mac's come with HDMI ports.
- SuperDrive now includes BluRay, and is in all models.
- iPod Classic goes to 500 GB of storage and gets touch screen.

Let's see which ones come true!

Talk about wishful thinking...  Knowing Apple, only about 3 of the things on your list are gonna be even close to reality.  Why not just wait and see what they ACTUALLY do?  Sounds a lot smarter to me...

24 march - rh = 24" Mac

I personally think the the iMac will be released on the 03/03/2009. But we will have to wait to see updates for the Mac Mini and Mac Pro. My best guess is that mac pro and Mac mini will be released on the 24th of March. That way people who were willing to spend lets say £488 on a Mac Mini might just go for a £780 iMac and Apple wins. Apple is in no hurry to bring out the Mini in a rush cuz that might eat into the iMac's market. So they will wait for the iMac sales to pick up. Anyhow if you look at the various product inventories John Lewis is completely out of iMacs, and I dont think they are going to wait till 24th March to start selling them again. However the Mini is still up for sale be it only the 2.0 Ghz model.

I was reading a post on gizmodo and a poster said he spoke with an friend that was an Apple Store employee and said that the iMac would be refreshed this week. I'm not sure how true that is, but I'm hoping its true, I've been waiting to purchase an iMac for a while now.

iYAWN!!!

Can we please have some actual EXCITING rumors about apple please? Where is the new groundbreaking tech product going to come from? I guess not from Apple unless their new iphone or other mobile devices REALLY start going to the next level.
