Review: Otterbox Impact Series case for iPhone 4

Otterbox’s Impact Series case for iPhone 4 is a fantastic and versatile case offering. It is not as strong as the Defender Series case but it does the job much better than many iPhone 4 cases. The case itself is made from relativity tough silicon yet is still slim. Although it’s slim it’s built well enough to protect your iPhone 4 from drops, nicks, knocks, and scratches.

The side volume buttons are completely covered, there is a hole for the silent/ringer switch, there is an opening for both the iPhone 4 camera and LED flash, as well as an opening for the ear piece. There is an opening on the back of the case so that shiny Apple logo is always in prime view and the home button is completely covered…

The sleep/wake/on/off button is completely covered, there is a hole for both the earphone jack and noise-suppressing microphone, and there are openings on the bottom for the main microphone, speaker, and 30-pin dock connector.

In our use the case does a great job in protecting the iPhone. You should have no problem throwing the iPhone in your pocket, bag, or anything else you may use to carry your iPhone 4. Otterbox includes both a front and back screen protector for iPhone 4 and this makes up for the potential scratches to your iPhone’s display and the Apple logo on the back.

The case ships in three colors: black, red, and pink (hott). The case is relatively inexpensive compared to Otterbox’s other offerings coming in at only $19.95 ($10.42 using this link!) and is absolutely a fantastic value. We think this may just be one of the best iPhone 4 cases on the market as its made from great, strong materials at a very reasonable price.
