WatchDots is an upcoming product that lets you add a new level of customization to your Apple Watch by adding decals that match the color of your Watch and band.
Apple already includes a colored accent on the Digital Crown of some models (black on stainless steel models and other colors to match bands on the gold Edition models), but WatchDots lets you customize the Digital Crown and the Watch’s singular button in a variety of colors on any model.
WatchDots™ are die cut to precisely and consistently fit on both the Digital Crown and side button so as not to interfere with function…available in colors that accurately match and enhance the look of your Apple Watch™… WatchDots™ is proud to be American owned and operated. All of our materials are sourced from American vendors ensuring the highest quality.
With a red Digital Crown, you can get the look that Tim Cook was spotted wearing: a red Digital Crown with a white Sport strap:
They are currently available in black, red, blue, green, pink, and white (as pictured below), but the company plans to offer other colors and limited edition decals in the future.
WatchDots are up for order now for $10, but 9to5 readers can get 25% off with promo code 9TO5READERS25 (each order comes with 3 complete sets including 1 dot for the Digital Crown and a dash for the side button in each, so you can share with friends or family). The product is listed as shipping in 7-10 days from the company’s website and shipping is available internationally.
And we also have 15 WatchDots to giveaway to 9to5Mac readers. RT this tweet, or share this FB post, and you’ll be entered to win. We’ll be sending out codes for a free order to winners this week, so you’ll be able to choose your color preference (make sure you’re following 9to5Mac on Twitter and like on FB).

So that’s where Tim Cook got his red crown sticker
the red dot relates to a prototype, most prototype products have a red signifier either externally or internally, just most are not seen outside of the company
I just ordered the red dot with the promo code BANDSWAPPER and got 25% off. I think the red will look cool with my Space Gray Sport, just need the watch now lol
Alternatively I could publicise my account details for you to deposit your finances for them to be put to a far better use. Then again you could always throw your money down the nearest drain, or even burn it.
Will order. As soon as Angela sends my watch I ordered seconds after midnight.
Angela has nothing to do with the supply chain or shipping, as far as I am aware she is just in charge of store design and experience. Obviously this is close to the “experience” part, but she doesn’t control the suppliers.
The most expensive decals in the history based on size. Who buys these? An idiot?
It’s mind numbing to think about.
Also the most expensive smartwatch based on features. Who buys an Apple Watch? Idiots? Nope, just people that see something and like it.
Cheap compared to decent watches.
smart watch, yes… actual watch, no
Fwiw, it comes with 3 full sets. Added that to article.
For $10 I expect a company video narrated in an English accent explaining the exotic, luxurious, and durable material used to produce the decal.
So am I the only one confused about how these dots are adhered, or made of. Like are they stickers or…?
Lots of info on their site. It has an attached adhesive like most decals.
I will do them for a fraction of the price and will even send you 10 sets… The advantages of having a vinyl plotter… ;) DIY…!
That’s actually look cool. Thanks for the chance to win it.
$10? Seriously? I have really come around to viewing the Apple Watch as nothing more than a novelty. I can literally save myself $400 (now $410) by simply taking my iphone out of my pocket and placing it on my wrist.
This is categorically one of the most asinine pricing structures ever peddled to consumers. Only a person with one quarter of a brain, that has suffered multiple concussions due to their head being bashed in by a ruler from a Nun back in catholic school, for being a total imbecile, would pony up the Hamiltons to purchase this product.
Here’s an idea, wait a month, you’ll find them all over eBay for $1 for five of them, then you can spend the other $9 on match.com, where you can find another hopeless soul like yourself.
As I said, get them on ebay…. 3 for only $4.72 or 3 pounds in the UK – http://www.ebay.com/itm/Apple-watch-sport-digital-crown-stickers-choose-colour-/161703329257?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item25a644fde9
Don’t be stupid and pay $10 for stickers.
Hi Mike,
If price is your main concern we encourage you to use the discount code posted in the article. WatchDots come with a total of 8 films (4 for the Digital Crown, and 4 for the side button). A better value than the link posted above, especially when you consider our quality and customer service. We encourage you to see for yourself what makes us different. No hard feelings.
Go to micheals, buy a sticker, cut a circle, save $8.
Some people are willing to pay for precision and convenience. Those are the people they are catering to.
Do you know anybody that can cut a perfect circle without the use of a machine (electronic or mechanical in nature)? I’m pretty sure that isn’t really possible.
