Below we go hands-on with the app that includes features for task management, project organization, and team communication and collaboration via easy-to-use native apps for Mac, iPhone, and iPad…

Hands-on with Cirkus task & project management app for Mac & iOS

As you’ll see in our hands-on above with Cirkus, you get a lot of options for managing projects, tasks and teams with this app than you normally only find in paid options with the competitors. That includes the ability to manage simple task lists on a personal level, or to collaborate with teams by creating organizations to organize projects or multiple projects that can all include their own tasks, subtasks, and much more.

You’ll also find some handy features that might even replace multiple apps you’re using for things like work chatrooms, email, worksheets, internal work orders, file storage, and more…

Tasks, Projects, and Organizations

The app itself is organized into three main sections including, Tasks, Projects, and Organizations. At its most basic, you can use Cirkus for simple personal task management by creating new “Tasks” with due dates, attachments, notes, and more. But if you have more complex needs, “Projects” can be created to store multiple tasks and you can even create Subprojects within a project.

Custom Roles, Groups and Team Collaboration

If you are using Cirkus for more than just one company or group of people, you can optionally create “Organizations” to manage and assign tasks and projects to the members of each organization. Once you’ve create an Organization, you can even can assign custom roles for each of its members and create groups within the organization. In addition, you can use separate Organizations to create project and task templates that are unique to each.

Once you’ve created some projects and tasks within, you can drill down even further to get access to features for attaching notes, files, creating subprojects, subtasks, custom task statuses, and more. From here you’ll also be able to access controls for managing members and their roles within projects. You can assign tasks and projects to multiple people, or to roles, or to both. You can also require multiple people to complete a task, or assign to multiple people and one person can complete the task to mark it done.

While some might use Cirkus as a relatively simple task and project management app, these features give you a ton of ways to collaborate on top of creating just simple task lists. Each Project can have its own files, comments, and due dates, but also each task within has its own attachments and comments giving you a ton of granular control for managing and assigning tasks for more intricate projects.

Inbox – Activity

Underneath the main Tasks, Projects, Organizations sections of the app, you’ll find an “Inbox” and “Activity” section that let you keep track of changes and updates made by others within all of your projects and tasks. Inbox will show you anything involving projects you are assigned to specifically, while Activity gives you a birds eye view of all organizations, projects and tasks you have access to. You can optionally have Cirkus send push and email notifications if you’d prefer to get updates that way too.

For a limited time, you can download Cirkus for Mac and iOS today for free.

For the rest of 2018, you can also get access to Cirkus Free Forever and new features coming next year by referring 3 people.
