iOS 18.1 is officially set for a release next week, bringing the first Apple Intelligence features to the general public. Ahead of that, Apple is wrapping up the beta testing process. The iOS 18.1 RC, or “Release Candidate,” is now available for developer and public beta testers. The iPadOS 18.1 RC is also now available.
The iOS 18.1 RC features the build number 22B82. The update is currently available to developer and public beta testers. iOS 18.1 is supported on all iPhones compatible with iOS 18, but Apple Intelligence features are limited to the following devices:
- iPhone 15 Pro
- iPhone 15 Pro Max
- iPhone 16
- iPhone 16 Plus
- iPhone 16 Pro
- iPhone 16 Pro Max

iOS 18.1 includes the some of the first Apple Intelligence features, such as Writing Tools, notification summaries, and Clean Up in the Photos app. There are a number of non-Apple Intelligence features included in the update, too, like upgrades to Control Center and more.
Barring any last minute changes or bugs, the iOS 18.1 RC is likely the final build of the update and will be the same as the one released to the general public next week. What features are you most excited to try? Let us know down in the comments.
