Cyberpunk 2077 coming to Mac ‘early next year’

While detailing the all-new M4 MacBook Pro laptops, Apple has revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 will be one of the next AAA games to launch on Mac. The news follows titles like Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Resident Evil 4, and more coming to macOS in 2024.

Apple’s 17-minute MacBook Pro announcement video includes a short section on gaming with the new M4-powered machines.

Alongside Assassin’s Creed Shadows launching in February 2025, Apple announced the big news that Cyberpunk 2077 will be landing on Mac in “early” 2025.

Apple says the new MacBook Pro laptops are ready to deliver an immersive experience with Cyberpunk 2077 which it describes as “one of the most graphically demanding and complex games ever created with advanced features like path tracing, frame generation, and built-in spatial audio…”

Cyberpunk 2077 and its spy-thriller expansion Phantom Liberty will be coming to Mac. Taking full advantage of Apple silicon and advanced technologies of Metal, the world of the dark future is available to Mac gamers for the very first time. Players can enjoy advanced features like path tracing, frame generation, and built-in Spatial Audio for even more immersive gameplay and stunning visuals.

Available early next year on Macs with Apple silicon, the Ultimate Edition will launch on the Mac App Store, GOG.com, Steam and Epic Games Store.

More details, including a release date for early next year, will be revealed at a later time, so make sure to stay tuned!
