iPhone SE 4 production timeline hints at March release date

Apple’s next iPhone might just be the best option for most buyers, and it should be here soon. A new report on iPhone SE 4 production points to a likely March debut. Here are the details.

Camera mass production in December points to March launch

Korean publication Ajunews reports that LG Innotek is slated to start mass production of iPhone SE 4 camera components very soon (via MacRumors).

December is the planned timeline for ramping up to full production, and that gives us a big hint as the expected launch date.

Here’s a translated portion of the article:

LG Innotech usually supplies camera modules 3 months before the launch of new smartphones. Considering this, the launch of the iPhone SE4 is likely to be…in March next year.

The last iPhone SE debuted in March too, but the model before that arrived in April.

All indications so far have pointed to a spring release date for the new iPhone SE 4, but today’s production report gives us a more narrow window.

Features of the new iPhone SE 4

When the SE 4 arrives, it will offer an extremely compelling budget iPhone. Expected features include:

  • an A18 chip, just like the iPhone 16 offers
  • Apple Intelligence support
  • 8GB of RAM
  • an edge-to-edge OLED display with a notch
  • the same 48MP main camera as the iPhone 15
  • an Apple-designed 5G chip
  • and more

All of this at a much lower price point than the flagship iPhone 16 models. The holiday season may be big for iPhone purchases, but if you can wait a few months more, the iPhone SE 4 may be the model to get.
