iOS 18.3 beta 1 now available

Less than a week after the release of iOS 18.2 to the public, Apple has once again kicked off the beta cycle. iOS 18.3 is now available to developer beta testers. Here’s everything you need to know.

iOS 18.3 beta 1 is available to developer beta testers with build number 22D5034e. There is no public beta available, and there’s no timetable for when that will change.

iOS 18.2 added a number of major new features to the iPhone. The update was headlined by new Apple Intelligence upgrades, including Genmoji, Image Playground, and ChatGPT integration with Siri.

There’s no word yet on what’s new in iOS 18.3. There are still more Apple Intelligence features on Apple’s roadmap, including a next-generation Siri with personal context, in-app actions, and on-screen awareness. We’re also still waiting on Priority Notifications, a feature that will use artificial intelligence to surface your most important notifications first.

Outside of Apple Intelligence features, Apple is also still working on robot vacuum support for HomeKit and bringing Apple Mail’s redesign to iPad and Mac.

iOS 18.3 will likely be released to the general public sometime in late January. After that, iOS 18.4 beta testing will begin ahead of an expected release in March or April.

Whether or not these new features are included in iOS 18.3 remains to be seen.
