Apple releases limited edition AirPods 4 for ‘Year of the Snake’

Last week, Apple announced a special edition version of the AirTag in Japan to celebrate the “Year of the Snake.” Apple has since followed that up with a limited-edition version of AirPods 4, available exclusively in select regions.

For New Year 2024, Apple launched a special version of AirPods Pro to celebrate the “Year of the Dragon.”

For 2025, AirPods 4 are the ones getting that special edition treatment. The “Year of the Snake” version of AirPods 4 feature a snake-style engraving on the charging case. The box also features a special emblem on the side as well.

Apple warns that these special edition AirPods 4 headphones are only available while supplies last:

The Year of the Snake Special Edition AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation are available at an Apple Store and apple.com while supplies last. Each customer can only purchase up to 2 units. If you need to replace or repair The Year of the Snake Special Edition AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation, subject to supply, we may provide you with standard edition AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation for replacement or repair.

As of right now, the “Year of the Snake” version of AirPods 4 is available in the following regions:

Availability could expand to other regions as Apple continues to update its website. Apple is also selling a handful of other “Year of the Snake” accessories from the likes of Belkin, Satechi, and Otterbox.
