PSA: iOS 18.3 RC users have a new update available for download

Apple released new software updates to the public today, including iOS 18.3, macOS 15.3, and more. But alongside those updates, the company has also shipped new beta versions for users running the iOS 18.3 RC and more.

Latest iOS 18.3 build for beta users matches launch release

Last week, Apple released the iOS 18.3 RC (release candidate) to beta users. In theory, the RC will be the exact software version that’s later released to the public.

As sometimes happens though, Apple ended up making some minor updates to iOS 18.3’s RC before today’s wide public launch.

For that reason, the company has made a new iOS 18.3 download available for beta users that matches the version shipped to the public.

For reference, the iOS 18.3 RC featured build number 22D60, while today’s new update is 22D63.

It’s unlikely that much has changed between the two releases, except perhaps the inclusion of the Black Unity wallpapers Apple announced today.

Apple probably included a few additional bug fixes in the final release too, but didn’t consider them noteworthy enough to ship a second RC build before today’s wide launch.

Have you installed the latest iOS 18.3 beta version? Notice anything different? Let us know in the comments.
