No, you’re probably not fired, Slack and other services are down

No, Friday didn’t come early and you didn’t get fired. Slack and a bunch of other online services are just going in and out for everyone.

Downdetector has reported spikes in outages across Slack, Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, and Amazon over the last few hours. We can probably blame Amazon Web Services as AWS has also charted reports of outages today.

In the meantime, enjoy the outage and know it’s not just your flaky internet connection. It’s the entire internet’s flaky internet connection this time.
