Apple TV+ has two premieres this weekend, here’s what to watch

Following the successful debut of Stick, and ahead of the much-anticipated return of The Buccaneers for its second season, Apple TV+ has two releases this weekend that promise to grip both kids and adults alike. Here’s what to watch:

Echo Valley

From Apple Original Films, Echo Valley stars Julianne Moore (The Big Lebowski) as Kate, a mother whose stable life running a horse therapy ranch is shattered when her drug-addicted daughter Claire, played by Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria), shows up covered in blood.

The film, directed by BAFTA-winner Michael Pearce (Beast) and written by Emmy-nominated Brad Ingelsby (Mare of Easttown), digs into just how far a mother will go to protect her child, blending psychological suspense with emotional depth. It also stars Kyle MacLachlan, so it should be an instant watch for any Twin Peaks fans out there.

Not a Box

If you’re in the mood for heartwarming family fun, Not a Box is the perfect pick. Inspired by Antoinette Portis’s award-winning picture book, this new animated preschool series centers on Riley, a bright-eyed rabbit who transforms a simple cardboard box into incredible worlds brimming with friends and adventures.

Executive-produced by Emmy-winner Michael Rabb (Handy Manny), this eight-episode series features a vibrant, handcrafted aesthetic from BAFTA-nominated animator Siri Melchior.
