Following months of anticipation and a great David Bowie-powered teaser, Invasion is back on Apple TV+, a few hours ahead of its official August 22 premiere. Here’s what to expect from this season.
New relationships are formed, old relationships are challenged
It’s been a long wait for Invasion fans. The season 2 finale aired almost two years ago, and it took Apple until last month to confirm the return date for season 3.
Here’s what Apple had to say about the new season, when it dropped its first official trailer:
Invasion follows an alien invasion through different perspectives around the world. In season three, those perspectives collide for the first time, as the series’ main characters are brought together to work as a team on a critical mission to infiltrate the alien mothership. The ultimate apex aliens have finally emerged, rapidly spreading their deadly tendrils across our planet. It will take all our heroes working together, using all their experience and expertise, to save our species. New relationships are formed, old relationship (sic) are challenged and even shattered, as our international cast of characters must become a team before it’s too late.
The return of one of Apple’s highest-profile sci-fi shows comes just as Foundation is about to wrap up its current season, with the three final episodes slated to air every Friday through September 12.
Invasion season 3 will have 10 episodes, which are slated to run through late October.
