Apple is reportedly planning to launch a new “Sales Coach” app later this month. The app will allegedly serve as a place for Apple to provide “sales tips and training resources” to employees, plus integrate with an AI chatbot.
The report comes from MacRumors, which cites anonymous source “familiar with the matter.”
The “Sales Coach” app will serve as a replacement to Apple’s existing “SEED” app, according to the report. The app will “provide sales tips and training resources to Apple Store and Apple Authorized Reseller employees around the world,” Joe Rossignol reports, much like the current “Seed” app.
The difference, however, is that the new “Sales Coach” app will reportedly have a new Liquid Glass design. In a later update, the app will also have an AI chatbot, which employees can use to ask Apple product knowledge questions. “For example, they could ask about the iPhone Air’s key features, or inquire about how the Instant Hotspot feature on the Mac works,” the report explains.
The report says it’s currently unknown whether the app will use a third-party AI platform or Apple’s own models.
“Sales Coach” will reportedly launch on Monday, February 23. It will also be accessible for employees via Apple’s website.
