Apple TV unveils new psychological crime thriller coming soon

Apple TV just released the trailer for Imperfect Women, a new psychological thriller series revolving around the fallout from a shocking crime.

Imperfect Women trailer reveals new thriller series

If you’re interested in TV series that explore crime, relationships that aren’t what they seem, and have plenty of twists, Imperfect Women might be your next favorite show.

Imperfect Women hits Apple TV on Wednesday, March 18 with its first two episodes, followed by weekly releases through April 29.

The limited series has a star-studded cast that includes Elisabeth Moss, Kerry Washington, Kate Mara, Joel Kinnaman, Corey Stoll, Leslie Odom Jr., and more.

Most of Apple TV’s offerings this year have so far been returning series, such as the comedy Shrinking, thriller Hijack, and espionage series Tehran. That trend continues with upcoming sci-fi favorites returning.

But among brand new originals, Imperfect Women is one of the highest profile series coming. I was intrigued by the show already, but today’s trailer made it a must-watch for me.

Here’s Apple’s official plot summary, followed by the new trailer:

“Imperfect Women” examines a crime that shatters the lives of three women in a decades-long friendship. The unconventional thriller explores guilt and retribution, love and betrayal, and the compromises we make that irrevocably alter our lives. As the investigation unfolds, so does the truth about how even the closest friendships may not be what they seem.

The premise and setting represented in the trailer very much evoke Big Little Lies, the popular HBO series.

Imperfect Women is similarly based on a novel, which you can find here. But the plan is for just one season.

Do you plan to watch Imperfect Women when it airs next month? Let us know in the comments.

Apple TV is available for $12.99 per month, or you can get it discounted through the Apple One bundle.
