Apple TV’s sci-fi epic Monarch: Legacy of Monsters premieres this week, and in a major marketing spectacle, the streamer crafted a drone event involving Godzilla, Kong, and more.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters gets major marketing push from Apple TV

Early last year, Apple TV upped its marketing game in the lead-up to Severance’s season 2 premiere.
In one especially memorable stunt, a Lumon work station appeared at Grand Central Terminal in NYC, where ‘Lumon employees’ worked during the day before cast members like Adam Scott and Britt Lower later appeared in character.
We haven’t quite seen an effort on that level from Apple’s marketing teams since then—until now.
Last Friday in Los Angeles, Apple and Legendary put on a drone show featuring monsters from the upcoming Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2. Per reporting, the event set a new world record.
Godzilla, Kong, and more were featured in a spectacle involving 3,000 drones that rose 500 feet into the air. Stars from the show were present too, including Kurt Russell and son Wyatt Russell.
