Shrinking season 4 adds new cast member: Karen Gillan

Apple TV has announced that the forthcoming Shrinking season 4 will add a new cast member: Karen Gillan.

Karen Gillan joining returning ensemble in Shrinking season 4

Shrinking season 4 is in the works, with a premiere date expected in early-to-mid 2027.

Despite some concerns that certain cast members might be lost after season 3, co-creator Bill Lawrence says the full ensemble is returning—even Harrison Ford.

But Apple has just announced that another noteworthy star is joining the cast: Karen Gillan.

Gillan is perhaps best known for her role as Nebula in the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy. She’s also in the latest Jumanji films, and on the TV side, Doctor Who was a big breakout role.

Variety says details about Gillan’s character are intentionally being kept under wraps for now. So it’s anyone’s guess how the star might fit into the new story being put together.

Shrinking’s new season is going to kick off with a time jump, per Lawrence. And expectations are that several new seasons are planned as part of a fresh three-year arc.
