macOS 26.5.2 now available, here’s what’s new

Apple published macOS 26.5.2 today, with the standard release notes for uneventful builds:

While Apple has yet to publish the details on its security releases page, it’s generally best to install minor updates promptly, as they may address recently discovered vulnerabilities already being exploited in the wild.

Just a few months ago, the Coruna and DarkSword vulnerabilities prompted Apple to issue emergency fixes for current and older versions of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. So while today’s release may seem uneventful, it’s probably worth installing sooner rather than later.
