Apple TV drops trailer for Women in Blue’s second season

With the premiere just a few weeks away, Apple TV today released the trailer for Women in Blue season two. Watch it below.

Women in Blue returns August 12

Two years ago, almost to the day, Women in Blue (Las Azules) premiered on Apple TV for a 10-episode run.

The Spanish-language crime drama tells the story of “four women who defy the ultraconservative norms of the time and join Mexico’s first female police force, only to discover that their squad is a publicity stunt to distract the media from a brutal serial killer,” per Apple TV’s description.

Inspired by true events, Women in Blue got a season 2 renewal in May 2025 and, more recently, got a debut date: August 12.

Today, Apple TV released the trailer for the show’s second season, which the company says will see the Azules investigate a murder tied to the 1968 student massacre.

“Women in Blue” (“Las Azules”) season two will follow María (Bárbara Mori), now promoted to lieutenant, as she finds herself torn between the rules she’s sworn to uphold and a relentless pull toward the truth when the body of a student activist is discovered, and the Azules are pulled into an investigation that reaches back to the student massacre of 1968. Before they can make sense of what they’ve found, the body of a person connected to that brutal chapter of history is unearthed, sending shock waves through the department. Someone is delivering justice straight to the police’s door, and the Azules are the department’s last hope of stopping the killer. As María, Valentina (Natalia Téllez), Gabina (Amorita Rasgado) and Ángeles (Ximena Sariñana) fight battles both inside and outside the precinct, buried truths rise to the surface and they’re forced to confront an uncomfortable question: in a system plagued with corruption, what is the cost of fighting for their ideals?
