Best AirPods deals right now: Save $120 on AirPods Max 2, AirPods Pro 3 for $190, more

The late summer AirPods deals are really flying now, folks. While we might be in for a next-gen and potentially next-gen price come next month, AirPods Pro 3 are sitting at some of the best prices ever, AirPods 4 with ANC just hit the lowest rate in nearly half a year, and the 2026 AirPods Max 2 just dropped even lower at $120 off the list price.

We are more than likely on the precipice of the next generation of in-ear personal listening experiences from Apple in under a month’s time, but it just upgraded its over-ears with the new AirPods Max 2 this year, and they are now sitting at one of the best prices to date.

Amazon is now offering AirPods Max 2 down at $429 shipped. That knocks $120 off the regular $549 list price, delivering one of the best deals we have seen since release. A brief and unreliable Prime Day deal saw them drop to $399, but it was largely hit-or-miss in terms of stock and the color you wanted.

As of the time of writing, Best Buy is offering all five colors at the discounted rate as part of its massive 60th Anniversary Sale that went live this morning, and Amazon will likely follow suit sooner than not.

Apple finally upgraded its AirPods Max with a proper next-generation treatment earlier this year, and there’s no telling how long it might take before we see a third-generation offering. We saw some fresh coats of paint and a USB-C jack slapped on to what many would call the AirPods Max 1.5 release previously, but the new Max 2 touched down this year with vastly improved specs including a high dynamic range amp and a listening experience powered by Apple’s H2 chip – up to 1.5x more Active Noise Cancellation and a new “digital signal processing algorithm” to upgrade the Transparency mode action.

We already showcased the upgrades in detail right here, but here’s a quick refresher courtesy of Apple:

  • Adaptive Audio: Adjusts the levels of ANC and Transparency in response to the environment automatically to optimize the audio experience.
  • Conversation Awareness: Helps lower content volume and reduce background noise when a user starts speaking to someone nearby.
  • Live Translation: Powered by Apple Intelligence, helps users communicate across languages in person.
  • Voice Isolation: Uses advanced computational audio powered by H2 to prioritize the voice during calls, while blocking out ambient noise.
  • Camera remote: Users can capture content at a distance by pressing the Digital Crown to take a photo and start or stop video recording while using the Camera app or compatible third-party camera apps on iPhone or iPad.
  • Studio-quality audio recording: Allows interviewers, podcasters, singers, and other creators to record their content with higher-quality audio and more natural vocal texture.
  • Loud Sound Reduction: Helps users prevent exposure to loud environmental noise while preserving the sound signature of what they’re listening to.
  • Personalized Volume: Automatically fine-tunes the listening experience for users based on their preferences over time.
  • Siri Interactions: Allow users to conveniently and privately respond to Siri announcements by simply nodding their head yes or gently shaking their head no.
