Last week Apple kicked off a new beta wave for its 27.2 software releases, and today beta 2 is rolling out just five days later for iPadOS 27.2 and more.
iPadOS 27.2 gets beta 2 update, plus tvOS 27.2, visionOS 27.2, and more
It’s been a busy week or so for Apple software releases.
The company launched its major new updates like iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS Golden Gate to the public last Monday. Then just a couple days later, developer beta 1 for the 27.2 round of updates debuted.
Skipping over 27.1 was a surprise, but reportedly that update will be exclusive to iPhone Duo.
So Apple went straight to 27.2 for beta testers, with the most notable new features in iPadOS 27.2 and more being:
- Profiles for Apple TV coming to iPhone and iPad
- Newly redesigned and upgraded Health app
- Siri AI expansion to more languages
- iPadOS gained a Siri feature that was previously Mac-exclusive
Now today, beta 2 is rolling out for iPadOS 27.2, watchOS 27.2, tvOS 27.2, and more.
It’s only been five days since beta 1, so we probably won’t see many big changes in today’s releases. Instead, they’ll likely focus on bug fixes and performance with some smaller potential features too.
