Focus Modes are another way Apple has adapted iOS 27 for the iPhone Duo

The unique form factor of the iPhone Duo led Apple to adapt iOS 27 in a number of ways to take full advantage of the upcoming new phone. This includes the iPhone dock sitting on the right-hand side of the outer display instead of at the bottom of the screen.

Developer pdfu has now spotted another iPhone Duo-specific feature offering a more convenient way to toggle Focus modes …

The most obvious software adaptation to the upcoming new hardware is, of course, the way the outer display defocuses and effectively becomes transparent as you open the iPhone Duo. But the relocation of the dock to the right-hand side of the outer display is another very visible difference unique to this device.

Developer pdfu, who has been finding a number of new features and showing them off in the iPhone Duo simulator, has spotted another one. There’s a new focus mode toggle sitting above the camera and flashlight icons on the iPhone Duo lock screen.

It appears that the feature applies only when a focus mode is enabled, enabling you to toggle it off from the lockscreen. However, having done so, you then have the ability to toggle the same mode back on again. This could make a lot of sense for times like emerging from a meeting and canceling Do Not Disturb mode without needing to unlock or open the device.

The leaker has revealed a number of other unannounced features, including StandBy views in the iPhone Duo and HomePad, and color options for the latter.
