Apple announces Siri AI will expand to these new languages soon

Today in iOS 27.2, Siri AI added several new features and expanded to five new languages. And alongside the launch, Apple announced four more Siri AI languages coming soon.

Siri AI launching in Chinese, Norwegian, Turkish, and Vietnamese by end of the year, per Apple

Before today, Siri AI was available in English only. But Apple expanded its supported languages in iOS 27.2 by adding French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Joining these six total languages will be four more before the year ends:

  • Chinese (traditional)
  • Norwegian
  • Turkish
  • Vietnamese

Apple announced that these languages will be supported by Siri AI “by the end of the year.”

That probably means they’ll arrive with iOS 27.3, which is expected to ship in December. The first iOS 27.3 beta, however, could debut in the coming week.

Even though Siri AI will support Chinese (Traditional), for the time being the assistant is still unavailable in China.

According to Bloomberg’s reporting, Apple plans to launch some initial Apple Intelligence features in China with iOS 27.3, but Siri AI is not expected to be among them.
